	HORUS MOONSHINE OCCULT SCIENCE The connection between magic and science runs deeps. The heretical magicians and scientists of the enlightened past were united against the dogmatic rule of Church and Monarchy. They challenged the Empire with simple empirical observations of the external (and internal) world that proved to be true, despite the blasphemy that it was. Magic(the Occult, the Hidden), can be considered the forces and powers of the Universe that are yet to be, or are in the process of being discovered, understood and utilized, as compared to Science which can be considered the forces and powers that we know of and consciously use to furthur our ends as individuals in a living dynamic society. The mystery and wonder of the Cosmos is still vastly greater than the conscious understanding that we as humans individually have of the Universe we find ourselves in. So Magic is the foundation of Science. Out of the chaos at the center of the unconscious processes of universe, patterns can be seen, analyzed and used with conscious intention. This is the hallmark of humanity, a consciousness above consciousness. An intending of intention. So if Magic is the white-noise ultraground of universal existence, then Science can be the external objective pattern or signal which is seen (seemed) to be real in the current time/space of your universe. Science is a method for deliberate internalizing of the external world and what it "really" is, since our understanding of "IT" changes with time and aeons as the perceptive powers of humans are unleashed and evolve with it through time. Science has been labeled the Sword by some, and it should be wholly respected as the Cutter of Bullshit. Skepticism is a burden and a Liberator. The real opposite/compliment of Science is not Magic, but Art. Art is the exploration of internal subjective space. Emotional movement, dream images, imagination's visions and voices that only speak to people individually. The aspect of a person that no one else will ever directly experience, except for the person themSelf. We all have an inner life that we share with no one else. The extent that one can get in touch with the subjective forces and powers that influence hir life, and move them out into the world with music, motion, poetry, silence, whatever, is the extent that one can consciously externalize that inner world and make it real (which isn't to say it wasn't real before, just that it wasn't apparent to the world as real, right?). Magic can futher be defined as the use of both Art and Science for the purpose of consciously acting on the World at large. The Occult Scientist, the Magician, works to effect change in the world by changing hir own perceptions of that world. New perceptions lead to breaking down beliefs lead to new choices lead to new actions, until "magically" your world starts working itself out on IT's own. This is Flow, and Nirvana, and Magical Consciousness, riding the crests of uncertain tides in an ultradimensional Ocean of universal Chaos. I'm trying to make this seem awesome. My Specific Work in this Field is synthesizing the Work of Robert Anton Wilson, Christopher S. Hyatt, Antero Alli, Timothy Leary, Grant Morrison, Peter J. Carroll, along with others in the emerging/waning Chaos Tradition, while continuing the brand of Scientific Shamanism that these occult artists themselves have helped evolve and continue.
